Info-dump!
An entry where we just dump information that isn't enough for it's own post, or we're too lazy to write one up. This is scrollbar intensive so I've added a link list for the information. Because of the nature of this entry, it's stickied to the top of the journal.

Info from NPCs, Cutscenes, Sidequests, and More!
+ The three quarters are the royal quarter, the citizen's quarter, and the lower quarter.

+ Lower quarter only gets beaten-up, hand-me-down blastia. The royal family and Council are the ones who decide this.

+ The aque blastia in the lower quarter pumps water throughout the lower quarter, via the fountain. Without it, they only have dirty river water to use and no plumbing.

+ Zaphias is the safest place in Terca Lumireis, mostly due to the Imperial Knights and royal family being based there.

+ Zaphias nobles are dicks.

+ Krunos XIV was the last emperor the Empire had. He passed away 6 months prior to the start of the game. No citizens know who the next emperor might be.

+ Whenever the lower quarter has a major problem, Flynn is always there to fix it/do something about it. For the smaller problems, occasionally law-breaking "problems" (such as knights harassing people during tax collections), Yuri is there to fix it/do something about it.

+ Yuri has a tendency to cause problems and get in trouble with the knights whenever the lower quarter is involved.

+ Yuri went outside the barrier "a little while back". He hasn't left since that time because he's too worried about the condition of the lower quarter to do so.

+ The "King of Adventure" is named after the late emperor's brother (Regin), who apparently loved to travel/go on adventures.

+ Blastia is mostly regulated by the empire, who has a monopoly on it. Common people would never get their hands on it if it weren't for the guilds who mine them.

+ Most people from the lower quarter don't get funerals or even proper burials. Most are cremated and their ashes are scattered over rivers or fields.

+ Age doesn't matter when it comes to getting a job in the lower quarter -- even an 8 year old can be a waitress in a bar restaurant.

+ "It is full of Flynn's belongings which is what has been used from youth in downtown". WHO THE FUCK BETA'D THIS GAME 8|

+ Nobles assume any commoners who enter the royal quarter are thieves.

+ Panhandlers in the royal quarter are arrested immediately.

+ Krityans hold positions in the Imperial Council as well, as requested by the Empire.

+ Commoners aren't allowed in the castle.

+ The knights armor is actually very thin.

+ The name of Zaphias' barrier blastia is the Sword Stair.

+ The successors to the Imperial throne aren't made known to the citizens of Zaphias.

+ Those who live in the citizen's quarter are much kinder to the people of the lower quarter than those in the royal quarter are.

+ Skills embedded in weapons were originally passed down from master to pupil, but the blademaster Assam used a special process to seal them within the weapons themselves. Bodhi blastia can acquire techniques from weapons imbued with this power. With continued use, weapon artes can eventually be learned by the person using the weapon. The Kritya gave this knowledge to humans long ago.

+ Halure is rich in medicinal herbs and the like.

+ Deidon Hold was originally an outpost to defend the capital.

+ Going around outside the barriers was pretty unusual up until a few years ago. There have been more travelers recently, but most people are still too scared to leave their towns.

+ Barriers are a precious resource. With the current technology, no more can be made. The ancient Geraios civilization created the blastia.

+ People who have thrown away their rights as imperial citizens are either guild members or under the protection of the guilds.

+ The Quoi Woods are said to be cursed. The curse is supposedly that "the voices of corpses buried beneath the trees creep up and lure travelers to their doom".

+ Quoi Woods contain a broken blastia.

+ It's possible the dense aer from the broken blastia is what started the rumor about the curse.

+ Karol's blastia is embedded in his bag.

+ Sometimes, blastia can fuse to plant-life, creating phenomenon like Halure's tree barrier.

+ Geraios civilization was made up of the Kritya.

+ Aspio is a Imperial facility -- you need a special passport to even get in.

+ Blastia cores are highly valuable, as they're a nonrenewable resource, so thefts of them have been on the rise.

+ Rita works to restore degrading blastia -- that is her area of expertise as a mage.

+ Sorceror's Rings are highly valuable and only in the possession of mages with high standing in the eyes of the empire.

+ The mages of Aspio generally tend to be a bit eccentric in some form or another.

+ Yuri and LeBlanc were old acquaintances in the past, most likely during Yuri's time in the knights.

+ Imperial Knight Point #1 is "With this sword I shall protect the people".

+ The Council is a body of nobles which aids in the political administration of the empire.

+ Imperial Knights have the authority to go wherever they want if they're on a blastia investigation, but there are many clauses and the like that can still limit what they're able to do.

+ Knights usually have severe training from morning to night, and still always have to be first on the scene if something happens.

+ If there is a disturbance in the area, a knight can forcibly enter any place they want and intervene, whether they have jurisdiction there or not. Otherwise, they aren't allowed to do so unless they are within their jurisdiction.

+ Caer Bocram was once a mercenary city.

+ The Cumore Brigade is made up of nobles. All of them are arrogant about it on top of that. Still, they are far from being of the royal class.

+ Estelle's master's name is Drake Dropwart. He was the previous emperor's swordmaster as well. He is also known as "the knightly patriot" and thought of as a model for all knights to follow. He is now an advisor to the Imperial Knights, but in name only -- he's pretty much retired. His job as of late has been teaching Estelle swordsmanship.

+ Yuri joined the knights with a man named Asciutto, who he was apparently friends with.

+ The Union is a guild collective run by the five so-called "master guilds". It also serves as Dahngrest's government.

+ The air around Dahngrest is unstable, refracting sunlight and turning the sky red. No one knows why this is. It makes it look like the sun is always setting.

+ Walking into dark alleyways in Dahngrest could end with you getting yourself killed.

+ Regardless of whether they require the help or not, the guilds will not accept help from the Knights.

+ According to Yuri, he really trusts Flynn "only because there's no one else I can trust".

+ When meeting the Don, after the Don has called Raven out from his little hiding spot, the Don eventually hits Raven in the chest with the handle of his sword. Where he hits it matches up with where Raven's heart blastia is, possibly hinting toward the Don knowing about said blastia. It is proven elsewhere that he actually does know of it.

+ A large amount of aer can have negative affects on both people and blastia. Taking in a lot of aer causes your metabolism to speed up, tiring you out more than what would be normal.

+ According to Barbos, Yuri looks like the Don did in his younger days.

+ The Imperial Knights act on orders from the Emperor alone. They do not report to anyone else.

+ To ascend to the throne, one must possess the imperial treasure, Dein Nomos. It went missing around the time of the Great War, ten years ago.

+ Mermen can be a problem in the waters near Capua Torim, depending on the season.

+ Tokunaga, the captian of the Fierta, is from a guild known as Gull's Song, which is a maritime guild affliated with Fortune's Market.

+ Siren's Fang is indeed mentioned in the 360 version of the game, by an NPC in Capua Nor. Like the PS3 version, it is a pirate guild, the leader is said to be Aifread (who had apparently "died", causing the guild to be disbanded and everyone left in it to go their seperate ways), and was also thought to be male.

+ Apparently, it is possible to live on gels -- at least for a short length of time.

+ This is an excerpt from the story of the caged emperor's bride: About 300 years ago, the emperor at the time, Brimstone the Fourth, planted a tree on the perimeter of Halure's barrier. He lived all of his later years shut up inside his castle, so people took to calling him the caged emperor. Legend has it that the caged emperor murdered his fiancee, and buried her corpse beneath the roots of Halure's tree. The tree gets its red color from the murdered bride's blood, which its roots absorb." It's only a legend, though.

+ A reference to Lloyd Irving's portrait from his wanted poster from Tales of Symphonia is in the Denebola Inn in Halure.

+ ... Apparently if a bodhi blastia is used a lot, it can change in color?

+ Regaey wasn't always the leader of Ruin's Gate. He just assumed control of it a while ago, since he was apparently very good at excavating blastia.

+ There is a fanclub known as the "Flynn Defense Force" in Zaphias, run by a middle-aged woman from the citizen's quarter. Their main activities are apparently "rooting for Flynn and chatting with other members". They also made Ted tell them everything he knows about Flynn.

+ "Year 232 of Asule, 13th day of Bluerre" -- The Asule period and the month of Bluerre are from a time before the empire, which would be over 1,000 years ago.

+ The empire claims a history of roughly eight centuries, but Nordopolica exceeds that length at 1200 years. It was originally only a coliseum.

+ Cameras -- both those used for photography and for videos -- exist in this world (Karol mentions a friend of his in a photography guild who took a picture of Nan for him, and there are CCTV cameras inside the Heracles).

+ The knife Raven tosses to Yuri on the Heracles is actually the knife the Don used to kill himself, not any knife Raven can actually equip, making the scene this happens in more of a slap in the face than it first appears to be.

+ After Yuri uses Dein Nomos in Heracles to destroy the apatheia being used for it's cannon/to power it, a voice clip plays that has no text bubble to go with it, which says "Thank you". If the spirits later in the game weren't proof enough, then this proves (or at least adds to the idea) that the Entelexeia that become apatheia are still "alive" in that state.

+ There is another sailing guild based in Capua Nor known as "Trino Liner Service".

+ An NPC makes a Phantasia reference about Arche specifically: "Our very lives depend on the existence of 'aer'. We should be thankful. ... That's what the pink-haired, Kritya-looking girl carrying a broom said, anyway."

+ Zaphias manufactures most of the world's gels and wine.

+ Fortune's Market has it's own, special shipping routes that makes it almost impossible for anyone to compete with them. One of the routes even passes across the northern ice floes.

Yuri: No dislikes, seems to prefer fruits and sweets over anything else.

Repede: Hates onions and sweets/milk, likes ... salads and Japanese stew? Repede, be a goddamn dog, will you.
Raven: Hates sweets, seems to like classic Japanese meals (Fish with Miso Sauce, Sashimi, Sushi) and seafood in general.
Karol: Dislikes meals that require a certain taste (Fish with Miso Sauce, Clam Chowder, Vichyssoise) or ... something. /reaching. Anyway, seems to like kiddy meals and sweets more than anything else.
Rita: Likes easy-to-eat meals and sweets.
Judith: No dislikes, seems to prefer Japanese foods over anything else.
Patty: Seafood lover, also likes desserts.
Flynn: Loves beef and pork, seems to dislike seafood.

TIMELINE / INCOMPLETE
By no means complete, I need to replay the game. Feel to free to make additions or corrections, but cite your sources. Yes, First Strike has contradictions in it but I won't correct or add anything unless you can clearly back it up, this goes for everything. In terms of Japanese only names, I'm going by the more direct translations of the Katakana.

Moving this into the masterpost for being incomplete.

############

1000+ Asule Period / Geraios Civilization:

- 1200 years:
The colosseum is built by the Entelexeia in what will become Nordopolica

??? Geraios:
Apatheia are converted into Blastia by the Krityans.
Tarqaron was created to destroy Entelexeia, possibly to convert them into Apatheia to harvest into Blastia.

Note: Blastia are made specifically by crushing Apatheia and then processing the pieces with technology to create the cores. This technology forced the newly made cores to absorb the aer which could then be carved with a formula. Multiple blastia were created from a single Apatheia due to the Apatheia themselves being too powerful in their original form. This also increased the numbers and allowed the power to be applied in multiple instances.

- 232nd year of Asule:
The ship Atherum is set to deliver an Apatheia known as the Clear Ciel Crystal to the town of Yormgen.

???:
The blastia the Geraios civilation created caused a disturbance in the aer. This cycled the aer into something the planet could no longer use, which led to the birth of the Adephagos. The Adephagos attempted to consume all life.

- 240th year of Asule:
The Adephagos is sealed through the power the Children of the Full Moon invested into Zaude. The "CITY OF THE FALLEN MOON" is created along with the "NECROPOLIS OF NOSTALGIA", this is where the Children who sacrificed their lives are forced to remain for all eternity.
Geraios Civilization is lost
Tarqaron is buried beneath the Astefiellus Mountains behind Aspio

############

- 800 years apx:
The Empire is formed.
The Asule period was abandoned when the Empire came into creation. So it's likely that the Empire was formed to create order following the catastrophe of the Adephagos according to what the game insinuates.

- 42 years:
Alexei Denoia is born (Unknown)

- 35 years:
Damuron Atomais is born (Farihyde)

- 21 years:
Yuri Lowell and Flynn Scifo are born (Unknown)

- 19 years:
Judith is born (Temza)

- 18 years:
Estellise Sidos Heurassein is born (Zaphias)

- 15 years:

- 11 years:

- 10 years:

Great War begins, takes place across the planet not specifically one area.
The towns of Temza, Farihide, Elkabarze and Parlest are destroyed in the war.
Duke Pantarei steals Dein Nomos
Yeager dies and is ressurected by Alexei
Hermes dies
All of Raven's family and friends die
Elucifer, lord of the Entelexeia, dies
Over 1000 Imperial Knights die, innocents are not counted in the death toll for the war.
The Emperor dies of illness

-Damuron dies during the Great War
-He returns to life two weeks later with a hermes blastia replacing his heart.
-Damuron is given the identity of Schwann Oltorain (specified to be a few days later)

- 4 years:
Repede is born (Zaphias)

- 3 years apx canon debatable:
Yuri Lowell and Flynn Scifo become Imperial knights (the minimum age to become a knight is 18, therefore this could be no more than 3 years prior to the game)
Nylen Fedrok dies
Lambert dies
The town of Ceazontania is abandoned to monsters once the barrier is destroyed
Yuri quits the Imperial Knights

- 6 months:
Emperor Kronos XIV dies

-- Unspecified dates:
Schwann is given the name Raven by Don Whitehorse, he becomes a member of Altosk in addition.
The Black Hope Incident takes place and Patty is reverted back to a child.

############

Point Zero: Game Begins

+ 1 year (PS3):
Yuri Lowell turns 22 towards the end of the game following an event in the Lower Quarter. This implies that game takes at most a year in their timeline.
